"If I hire your studio, will you be the one photographing our wedding?" -- Yes! I am the sole photographer and owner of Linden Photography. All work you see was created by yours truly. If you would like to add a photographer to the coverage it may be possible. Please contact me for more information.

"How many weddings do you shoot in a weekend?" -- Typically I will only book one a weekend, though there may be the rare occasion where I book two. I will only shoot two in a weekend if they are small...or at least one of them is...or I just feel like being crazy and having a good excuse for getting a massage the next day.

"How many weddings do you do in a year?" -- It varies, however I try to keep them to 15 or less per year. I do not want to burn out before I'm 30 (which isn't too far away) and I like being able to give my full attention to each wedding. I also tend to reserve at least one weekend a month to spend time with my family.

"Do you shoot film, digital, or both?" -- I am 100% digital now.

"I've heard that film is better than digital and that digital pictures pixelate. Is this true?" -- I won't get into a huge debate over this, but let's just say that I used to be a film purist. I was fighting going digital and thought it would be a long time until I switched. That changed once I realized everything you could do with digital and the quality of it. I have enlarged images to 16x20 with no pixelation or problems. It took a lot to make me switch, yet now that I have, I can't imagine going back.

"Do you shoot B&W, color, or a combination?" -- Everything is shot in color, however any image can be changed to B&W, sepia, and/or have "enhancements" done to it.

"What is an enhancement?" -- An enhancement, or artistic version, is my way of adding something special to an image to achieve the feel I was going for when I created it. It is never permanent, can be bought as an enlargement, or added to an album, but is not for sale (nor will it appear on your digital file CD's).

"What is a FlipAlbum CD?" -- A FlipAlbum CD is essentially a way to view your images on your computer. This allows me to convert your images to B&W, do my enhancements, etc. and show you what it would look like without locking you into anything. The CD plays on your computer with no special software to download. You are able to enlarge images by clicking on the thumbnails or just flip through it like an album.

"When you say you have a 'maximum of 25 posed photographs,' do you really mean that?" -- Yes and no. Yes I do prefer to work in a more photojournalistic style, but no I won't freak out if we go over that amount. Unless it's like 100 posed pictures. Then I reserve the right to get out my Indiana Jones whip and crack it a few times.

"What is the uploading to the internet thing?" -- I use Eventpix.com and upload all the images from your wedding to their site. I then add a link, either with or without your password, at the bottom of your gallery page. If you want your password listed on the page, I use your first names. If you want it private, then I use something less obvious. You can then direct your friends and family to your gallery page and/or email them the direct link with your password and they can order all they want without hassling you. The orders come directly to me, where I send them to my lab, and ship them out myself.

"How long does it take to get our FlipAlbum CD, digital files, and/or our images upload to the internet?" -- During the busy time of the year, usually 5-8 weeks.

"How involved can we be with our album creation?" -- As much or as little as you'd like. The type of album you choose does affect this. However, some of my albums you are able to sit down with your FlipAlbum CD, website that lists the mat templates (for the matted album), and decide what picture and what mat you want on each page. Or, you can tell me what images you'd like included in your album and I can do a sample layout. Once it is okayed by you the order is filled.

"How long does it take to receive our album?" -- This depends on the type of album, but anywhere from 6-8 weeks from the time the order is okayed.

"What happens if you raise your prices after I've signed a contract?" -- Nothing for you. At least not for six (6) months from the date of your wedding. You are guaranteed the prices that are current at the time you sign my contract until six months after your wedding date. After that, you will be subject to the new pricing. If I plan to raise my prices, and it is nearing your six month mark, I will attempt to contact you and let you know they are going up. That way, should you desire, you can order prints, etc. at the lower prices.

"How long do you guarantee the CD's for?" -- Of course you hear that CD's are supposed to last a lifetime, however I guarantee 1 year. While they will most likely last longer than that, I do recommend you routinely back them up on the latest technology.

"My dog/cat/iguana ate my CD! What do I do?" -- First call the vet and then call me. I will burn you another.

"Do we have to see each other before the ceremony?" -- That's up to you. I can shoot some before (and keep you two separate) and the rest after the ceremony; or all before; or all after. Just keep in mind that no matter which one you choose, budget your time wisely for it. While I may work fast, there are always delays and unexpected situations that arise. It's better to schedule too much time and be able to relax than to not schedule enough and be frazzled.

"Do you do individual family portraits at weddings?" -- No. Unless it's specifically requested of me for something special--such as your grandparents celebrating their 50th anniversary, etc. No matter what, it has to be okayed by both myself, and you two first! If guests ask I will defer them to you as I don't want to miss anything important during your paid time with me.

"What about table shots? You know, where you go around to each table and shoot the guests?" -- Not usually. Why? Because most often the only time the guests are all seated together is when they are eating. And if I try to take pictures of people eating, I am immediately the "hated" one. Plus, if I'm off taking photographs of each table, it is quite possible I will miss that little stolen kiss between the two of you. Or the hug from grandma who traveled 1000 miles to be there. However, do not fret...I will get tons of candid images of your guests. And while I can't guarantee I'll get everyone, I will do my best!

"Do we have to feed you?" -- It's not required but it's always appreciated. Usually if I do eat, I do it quickly and keep my eyes out for anything special. I eat when you (the couple) eats so as to lower the chances of missing anything. While I may be superwoman in my mind, my body doesn't always agree, so renergizing myself with a fast meal and a quick load off is both beneficial to me and you.

"Do you seriously own an Indiana Jones whip?" -- No, but I'd love to have one. If for nothing else than to use it on my husband when he doesn't take the trash out like I asked him to--for the 100th time.
